TALKING REPLAY AND TWEETING
Instant Action is the heartbeat of every sporting event and weeting has
shown how this evolving, online medium form can deliver the true
candor to go along with that heartbeat. Through the years many have
found that the booth-emotions have the feeling of being scripted, whilethe athlete's emotion stay raw, readily definable and immediate.
Now with that in mind, the market-ready moniker of "Talking Replay"
can help power a broadcaster's twitter-brand by taking a more
challenging presence within the verbal storytelling of the game.
Here's how it would work:
During the live telecast, the game producer would be poised and ready
to send out a collective Twitter so as to alert the viewers that a Talking
Replay was coming up and thus, this tweeting would become a method
by which the broadcaster could continue to shore-up its long lasting
(membership) framework, a method exemplified by Facebook.
This is key... since the twitter is the "sizzle" even though the Talking
Replay is the "steak." Thus the gimmick becomes the instant-link to the
viewer one that bonds even more of those like-minded fans.
More so, the broadcaster could now allow its fans to feel that they were
"in the broadcaster’s production loop" since they are being informed
(tweeted) instantly by the game producer. And as with YouTube or
Hulu, those fervent fans possibly could possibly embed the video
directly onto their website, thus creating even more traffic for the
broadcaster.
Another Point: Fans have an insatiable appetite for access to their
favorite players, and the stars want to boost their images by allowing
their fans a new way to bring their fans closer by connecting directly
with them through this increasingly popular wireless service.
Twitter is becoming a necessity for fans of sports that sometimes don't
get much attention from the mainstream media. If an athlete talks to us
during the Instant Replay then he influences the actions we are
seeing -- something akin to a tweet.
